Cornbread

Possibly the most common “Staple” of southern cooking has to be cornbread!

Throughout our years, this recipe has been possibly our most requested one!

Equipment Needed:

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring Cups
  • 8″x8″ pan or a 12 Muffin Tin with paper liners
  • Whisk

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Cup Cornmeal
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • Butter or  Canola Spray to grease pan

 

Mix all ingredients together and whisk until smooth.  Spoon into pan.

Place in centre of preheated (350 F) smoker for 40 minutes or until golden brown

I like to let the mixture sit in my fridge for an hour or two as it seems to give a fluffier end product.
