Cornbread

Possibly the most common “Staple” of southern cooking has to be cornbread!

Throughout our years, this recipe has been possibly our most requested one!

 

Equipment Needed:
Mixing Bowl
Measuring Cups
8″ x 8″ pan or a 12 Muffin Tin with paper liners
Whisk

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • Butter or  Canola Spray to grease pan

Instructions:

  1. Preheat smoker to 350°F
  2. Mix all ingredients together and whisk until smooth. 
  3. Spoon into pan.
  4. Place in centre of preheated smoker for 40 minutes or until golden brown.

#joetip I like to let the mixture sit in my fridge for an hour or two as it seems to give a fluffier end product.
