Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 ⅛ cups brown sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vinegar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups pecans
  • 1 pie crust (pre-made or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat smoker: Set smoker to 375°F.
  2. Prepare butter: Melt butter and let it cool slightly.
  3. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, and salt.
  4. Add eggs: Beat eggs into the dry mixture until smooth.
  5. Add remaining ingredients: Stir in melted butter, milk, vinegar, vanilla, and pecans until well combined.
  6. Assemble pie: Pour mixture into prepared pie crust.
  7. Smoke the pie: Place pie in smoker and cook for 50–60 minutes, until filling is mostly set in the center.
  8. Cool & serve: Let pie cool before slicing to enjoy the smoky, sweet flavor.
